Pascal in Ghana
Financial difficulty burdens countless families, but what if it jeopardizes your child’s access to life-changing medical treatment?
Pascal’s clubfoot diagnosis dealt his family quite a blow. His parents, Prince and Francisca, learned that clubfoot was completely treatable from Prince’s older brother, a dentist, who knew more about the medical landscape.
Eight hours one way to a hospital for treatment sounded insurmountable, not to mention the cost of the actual treatment. Then, the family learned that Hope Walks, through the generosity of donors, would fully cover treatment costs. This unexpected act of kindness brought them immense relief and joy, easing their worries and strengthening their faith for the journey ahead.
For the first three months, the family stayed near the hospital, and then they booked hotels for follow-up appointments. To prioritize his son’s care, Prince even declined recruitment into the Ghana Fire Service.
Seeing their baby crawl and stand independently was a moment of pure joy for the family. Friends who had once doubted now joined them in praising God for the remarkable healing and transformation they had witnessed.
