Imran in Burkina Faso

When Imran was born with severely twisted feet, his mother, Rihanatou, could only weep. “Why this pain?” she cried, heartbroken over her son’s future. Though they started treatment at a local hospital, 11 casts later, there was no improvement. Discouraged and out of hope, the family stopped going.

But hope found them again through a neighbor who told them about a different hospital—one that offered free, effective treatment for clubfoot. With cautious optimism, they gave it one more try.

That decision changed everything.

At just over a year old, Imran began a new round of casting. After only four casts and a simple procedure, his feet began to straighten. The results were so dramatic, his mother couldn’t believe her eyes. “My fears, worries, and anxieties are gone,” she said. “Now I’m healthier. I’m no longer skinny as before. I have become more competent in my workplace.”

Today, Imran is a happy, active three-year-old who walks and plays with ease. His mom often traveled more than 100 kilometers during the school year just to keep his appointments—an act of love and sacrifice that will one day become part of Imran’s story.

The family now dreams of a future where Imran becomes a doctor, bringing healing to others just as healing came to him.

Thanks to your support, a little boy’s path has been straightened—and his future, made bright.
