Mindy Flinn brings more than 28 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy, with a career dedicated to building meaningful relationships and transformational partnerships that advance healthcare and improve the lives of patients and families.
Mindy currently serves as Executive Advisor, Transformational Gifts at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In this role, she works with individuals to develop transformational philanthropic partnerships that support St. Jude’s mission.
Prior to joining ALSAC, Mindy served as Executive Principal at the American Cancer Society, where she was the primary liaison between the CEO and Development team and helped guide engagement with some of the organization’s most significant donors and partners. Her career also includes senior development roles at the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Yale School of Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, LIVESTRONG Foundation, and Mayo Clinic.
Mindy’s connection to the mission of Hope Walks is also deeply personal. A childhood cancer survivor and above-the-knee amputee, she understands firsthand the difference mobility can make in a person’s life. In 2012, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro as part of Survivor Summit, an experience that reinforced her belief in helping others overcome barriers and live fully. She has also participated in mission trips to Ukraine and Poland that further strengthened her commitment to serving others and making a meaningful difference in communities around the world.
Mindy holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bethel University. She and her husband recently relocated to San Antonio, Texas, to be closer to family and are embracing one of their favorite roles—being doting grandparents.
