Marlise Streitmatter works with leaders to develop and execute strategies that grow and transform their organizations. With expertise in strategic planning, organization development, governance, and change management, she advises senior executives in the aerospace, aviation, defense, national security, transportation, and non-profit sectors.
Marlise was the Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation where she managed day-to-day agency operations and relationships at the highest levels of the federal government and advised senior leaders on policy, budget, human capital, and communications. Prior to that, she directed a public diplomacy effort that yielded historic financial commitments in development aid for the world’s poorest countries. Marlise is deeply committed to developing the next generation of leaders and led federal initiatives to prepare and equip women leaders in the transportation sector and in newly forming democratic societies. She served in senior staff roles at the World Bank, the U.S. Department of Defense, for a Member of Congress, and a member of the Illinois General Assembly. Marlise is a graduate of the University of Illinois and resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
