Bethel serves as Global Programs Human Resources Officer, providing strategic oversight, leadership and support to Hope Walks country programs in human resources. She has managed all aspects of human resource management in the private sector and for international non-governmental organizations for more than 14 years. Her background includes roles with international organizations such as The Fred Hollows Foundation, World Vision and Creative Associates International, where she most recently served as Human Resources Manager.
Bethel holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Information Systems from Addis Ababa University College of Commerce, and an MA in Leadership and Management from the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology.
She joined Hope Walks to contribute to the organization’s mission, inspired by its profound, holistic impact on children’s lives and its commitment to preventing disability. Based in the Ethiopia Country Office, Bethel resides in Addis Ababa with her husband and two children.
