About the Country

Kenya is a bountiful country in East Africa, with a variety of geographic diversity including deserts, rain forests, mountains, beaches, and plentiful farmland. There are over 40 different ethnic groups represented in Kenya which has led to a diverse population and vivid culture. Over the years, Kenya has developed positive relationships with its five bordering countries.

While Kenya has one of the best economies in Africa, political changes and corruption have caused some instability. Additionally, high rates of people living in rural areas, high birth rates, and over 1.5 million people with HIV/AIDS have contributed to over 41 million people being impoverished in Kenya.

There are over 80,000 Christian congregations in Kenya, most of them being evangelical. There is large growth of the church.

Prayer Needs

We ask for continued prayers for the staff in Kenya, for safety and provision from God. Pray that God would continue to strengthen the church in Kenya and give provision to the Hope Walks clinics in the country.
