About the Country
The first black nation in Africa to gain its independence from European control, Ghana has a rich history. After years of corruption and a series of coups leading to a new constitution written in 1992, Ghana has transitioned to a democratic government and has a strong educational system. Today, there is relatively low internal conflict, and gold deposits and cocoa production has aided Ghana economically.
Sixty percent of Ghanaians consider themselves Christian. There is a growing number of Muslims in Ghana due to strong influence from the northern parts of the country.
Prayer Needs
Economic difficulties make transportation difficult, we pray that the families needing treatment would not be hindered by this. As Hope Walks expands the number of clinics in this country, we ask for prayers for successful partnerships.
