James is currently the CFO of Surge Energy, a Houston, Texas, based Exploration & Production company with assets in the Permian Basin. He also spent a large portion of his career working for ConocoPhillips before venturing out to help start up a new company. James is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University and has a degree in Accounting. He lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Sonja, and has five children. James enjoys almost any type of outdoor activity, spending time on various activities with his kids, and has a hobby of growing/developing bonsai trees.
